Our Operations During COVID-19

In response to changing public health guidance in Boulder County, Longmont Humane Society will be implementing the following operational updates beginning Saturday, February 19. Please note that mask wearing is optional when visiting our facility.

Adoptions
No appointment necessary. Please plan to visit during our regular business hours of 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday & Sunday to browse and visit with our adoptable animals.

Pet Licensing & Boz’s Place Retail Store
No appointment necessary. Please plan to visit during our regular business hours of 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday & Sunday to purchase a new City of Longmont Pet License or visit our pet supply retails store, Boz’s Place.

Lost & Found and Intake Services
If you have found or are looking for a lost pet, no appointment is necessary. Please plan to visit during our regular business hours of 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday & Sunday. If you need to surrender your animal, please call (303) 772-1232 or email info@longmonthumane.org to make an appointment. Surrender appointments are available from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. daily. In the event of an emergency, please call Longmont Animal Control at (303) 651-8500.

Public Pet Pantry
No appointment necessary. Clients are invited to visit our Public Pet Pantry during regular business hours of 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday & Sunday to access our inventory of free pet supplies including food, bedding and more.

Public Training Classes
Longmont Humane Society is holding weekly drop-in adult dog & puppy playgroups, in-person private training sessions and group obedience courses. We also continue to offer entirely virtual alternatives including private training video sessions and online obedience and mini-courses. Learn more at www.longmonthumane.org

Volunteer Program
All volunteer programs have resumed within recommended public health parameters. If fully vaccinated, volunteers are not required to wear a mask while at LHS. *Fully vaccinated means that you are two weeks out from your second round of vaccination. If you are feeling ill, please stay home until you are feeling well.

Events
In-person fundraising and outreach event opportunities are slowly opening-up in our community. Please monitor our website for upcoming opportunities to support our organization through local events.

Donations
Donations of in-kind items such as food, cleaning and paper products, blankets and the like, can be brought directly to our facility during regular business hours. Please avoid leaving donations outside of the building unattended. In-kind donations can also be sent through our Amazon Wish List at any time.

As always, monetary donations are greatly appreciated and can be made securely though our website here. Longmont Humane Society if a private, non-profit organization that relies upon individual, corporate and foundation contributions to fulfill our mission of caring, serving and educating to improve the lives of companion animals.
