City of Longmont Pet Licensing Information
Longmont city ordinances require that all domestic cats, dogs and pot-bellied pigs within city limits be licensed. This includes young and old pets, as well as indoor-only cats. City of Longmont pet licenses are valid for the calendar year and expire December 31.
2020 City of Longmont pet licenses are available for sale online at the link below, at Longmont Humane Society at our Intake Desk, in Boz's Place and at the Well Pet Clinic or by mail as well as at the following local offsite locations: Longs Peak Animal Hospital, Happy Hounds Dog Care Center, Bark Me Beautiful, Tender Loving Care Animal Hospital, Family Pet Hospital, Olde Towne Animal Medical Center.
- The City of Longmont requires that your pet's license is purchased by February 1, although licenses are available for purchase year round.
- City of Longmont ordinances and state laws also require that all domestic cats and dogs have a current rabies vaccination. Proof of rabies vaccination is required at the time of purchase.
- Fees for licenses are $15.00 for spayed and neutered animals and $25.00 for unaltered pets.

Please note that when purchasing your pet license online, you will be charged a $4.50 shipping and handling fee. *If you have previously licensed a pet in the City of Longmont, please email email@example.com to obtain your "Person Number" for use on the online form.
