Sponsor an Animal

You can’t adopt every animal who pulls on your heartstrings, but you can help them by sponsoring part of their care while they await their forever home. With our Animal Sponsorship Program, your donation will directly support a homeless pet waiting to be adopted.

Select an animal you would like to support from the profiles below or select a homeless pet from our Adoptable Animals page. Typically, the ones in need are animals who are older, larger, look like certain breeds, and/or have a medical condition that has caused them to be overlooked and made their stay at our shelter longer than usual. However, if there is a particular pet you are drawn to, please add a message in the sponsorship form below.

Animal sponsorship makes a significant difference in the life of a homeless pet at Longmont Humane Society. Your sponsorship helps us provide essential care including vaccines, spaying/neutering, medications, wellness exams, and more for animals in need. By sponsoring a pet, you help to alleviate the costs for one animal, enabling us to financially support others in need.

With a gift of $250 or more, you’ll receive a personalized thank you from the sponsored animal, an overview of how the donation was used, recognition in our e-newsletter, and a sponsorship tag on the animal’s kennel.

DICE

Dice has been a resident at LHS since May of 2023. Dice is looking for a home where he can be a constant companion animal as he becomes anxious when left alone. He is silly, playful and loving. Dice is patiently awaiting his perfect match.

SAMPSON

Sampson has been a resident at LHS since June of 2023. He needs a home with adults only. Sampson is very affectionate and loving, he needs a family willing to understand his needs and work with him consistently.

JENGA

Jenga was brought to LHS as a stray in August of 2023. His size and appearance make him a more difficult candidate to place for adoption. Jenga has been on several outings to events and local businesses and was a perfect gentleman.

CALLIE

Callie was brought to LHS in September of 2023. She is an escape artist – climbing fences up to 5 feet, so she needs supervision when outside. Callie is selective about her friends – both two legged and four. It may take some time to find her match, but she is welcome here until we find them.

SELENA

Hoss arrived at LHS in December of 2023. Her size and appearance make her a more difficult candidate to place for adoption. Selena loves going for walks and hikes. She is a shy girl when she first meets you, but warms up quickly. Selena will make a very loyal and loving companion.

PABLO

Pablo was released into our care in January of this year. He is receiving additional training and socialization while staying at LHS, but will need a home with specific requirements. Pablo’s adoption fee has been sponsored, but his care and training expenses are ongoing.

RAINA

Raina has had a rough journey since being found as a stray in Texas in 2021. She was transferred to LHS because the shelter in Texas was out of space and could not keep her. Since coming to Colorado she has been adopted, then found as a stray by Longmont Animal Control twice; adopted again twice and returned twice – neither time because of her own issues, but due to adopters’ change of circumstance. Raina is truly ready for her forever family to find her.

WHISKEY

Whiskey came to LHS as a transfer from out of state in December of 2023. Our training and behavior team is nationally recognized as top-notch and we are often asked to take dogs that need a bit of assistance to become better canine citizens. Whiskey has gone through some training here and is now ready for his forever home.

Spread joy and inspire change by sponsoring an animal at Longmont Humane Society. And please know what an immeasurable difference your kindness makes for pets waiting for homes to call their own.
