Adult Volunteers

Until further notice, Longmont Humane Society will suspend onboarding new volunteers to include conducting new volunteer orientations. Please check back frequently for any changes or updates to to this status. Thank you!

Longmont Humane Society could not provide the shelter, services and quality of life to the thousands of animals that we care for each year without the support of our dedicated volunteer community. Volunteers offer their assistance in virtually all areas of our organization, including caring for shelter animals, helping with special events, and providing administrative and veterinary clinic support.

It’s easy to get started!
1) Attend an adult orientation
2) Choose an available volunteer program & attend program specific training
3) Sign up for one shift a week for a 3-4 month volunteer session
