Ella’s Walk featuring the Furry Friends Festival is a family-friendly event honoring the life of Meredith Hope Emerson, her kindness and compassion for all living things. The event also speaks to the core of our mission in promoting the bond between people.

Last year’s Walk was the largest in the history of the event and we want to keep the momentum going in 2010 with a goal of $45,000. Our fundraising focus for this event is on the pledges raised by Walk participants particularly the groups of friends, family, neighbors and co-workers who have formed Packs (or teams) who will be completing in the Pack Challenge to see who will raise the most money for the animals in our care.

The Walk is a gentle 3-mile from Boulder County Fairgrounds Picnic Shelter through Rogers Grove to the first Golden Pond and back. The Furry Friends Festival will be underway when you return to the fairgrounds with demonstrations, live music, brunch and pet-friendly merchants along Mutt Main Street.
