Saturday, May 15th Longmont Humane Society held our second annual Ella’s Walk. This year marked the 17th anniversary of Longmont Humane Society’s dog walk to raise money for lost, homeless and abandoned pets at the shelter.

In 2009 the event was renamed Ella’s Walk in memory of Meredith Hope Emerson as tribute to Meredith and a celebration of her life as a wonderful way to continue her loving work in the world and her desire to make a difference in the lives of less fortunate people and animals.

In 2010 recognition and attendance of the event increased as did the fundraising dollars once again proving what a generous and compassionate community we live in. We would like to thank all the outstanding sponsors and festival vendors who participated this year and the almost 300 people who attended and raised over $36,000 in support of the animals sheltered at Longmont Humane Society.
