Longmont Humane Society's 15th annual Walk for Animals has been renamed
Ella's Walk
In memory of Meredith Hope Emerson as a tribute to the Longmont resident who was tragically killed in 2008. Meredith was a compassionate and caring person who wanted to make a difference in the world. Her kindness for all living things will be honored by this community event. Her dog Ella, a 2 year old black lab, now lives with Meredith's parents here in Longmont and has become the symbol of our efforts to raise money to help rescue animals like her, animals who deserve a second chance.
The Ella's Walk for Animals featuring the Furry Friends Festival is a family-friendly fun event celebrating the bond between owners and their pets. It is also an important fundraising event for the homeless animals sheltered by Longmont Humane Society. Ella's Walk is a 3-mile loop from Boulder County Fairgrounds picnic area through Rogers Grove to the first pond at Golden Ponds and back.
Why we need your help. |
