LHS' P.I.T.S.T.O.P and AKC CGC Class

Pets In Training, Stable Tolerant Obedient Partners - With the media focus on Pit Bull type dogs (PBTD) and the Breed Specific Legislation surrounding us, at times it can be challenging to own a PBTD in today’s society. PITSTOP class can offer you an understanding group of other owners to train alongside. Of course, we invite PBTDs into any and all of our training classes and do not train them any differently than other dogs. PITSTOP is an ongoing drop in class that is for PBTDs and any of their canine friends!

The ultimate goal of the PITSTOP class is to certify as many dogs in our community as possible as Canine Good Citizens through the AKC (http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/index.cfm). Animal Farm Foundation (http://animalfarmfoundation.org/) generously supports our efforts to “secure equal treatment and opportunity for ‘pit bull’ dogs” by offering a grant for each PBTD and owner team that we support to certification.
